Summer 2011

I haven't posted something for so long I have almost forgotten how!  We have had a wonderful summer.  We have been busy helping each of the married couples with their next phase of life.  To start things off, Carly and Doug bought a new home in the Daybreak area of South Jordan.  It is just 5 minutes from the Oquirrh Mountain temple.  It is a very nice three bedroom home with an unfinished basement.  We helped them move in their belongings and then helped to organize and put away things.  Doug helped some in the yard and outside areas.  They are super excited to have a home to enjoy!

Next, we helped Shane and Kim get ready to move to Grenada, West Indies.  They lived with us for a couple of weeks while Shane finished his obligations as the manager of the Finish line for Utah Valley Marathon.  We loved seeing cute Jeremy every day.  They stayed with Kim's family (The Friden's) for a couple of months until school started in Aug.  We were able to visit them at the beautiful Cloud Rim Ranch where Kim grew up in Etna Ca. in July.  We had a great time there and Melinda and Marcie loved riding the four wheelers,swimming and shooting 22's.  We also got to go on a Hellgate Jetboat excursion up in Oregon.

While we were in Cal,  Kacey had her baby, so we had to visit them at the end of the trip.  Here is Luke Ammon Ahlstrom.  He was born to Tyler and Kacey on his great-grandma Louine Shields', birthday, July 19, 2011.  He was 7 lbs. 8 ozs and 21 inches.

When Luke was only two weeks old Tyler and Kacey moved to Mesa AZ.  We decided to fit it in with the Brown Reunion in the northern part of Az.  Tyler drove the loaded van and came  with Doug, Melinda,Marcie and I to the reunion.   Kacey came with her parents and the 2 kids and met us in Mesa.
